Constructed of silvered brass, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a ribbon, topped by a semi hollow German State Crown, around a central eagle set over a background, just above a rural landscape, the reverse with a raised barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked but with the physical characteristics of manufacture by Paul Meybauer
