Germany, Luftwaffe. A Pilot’s Badge, by Gebrüder Wegerhoff certificate_of_authenticity a 1936 Reichsnährstand Frankfurt badge(Flugzeugfhrerabzeichen). Instituted March 26th, 1936. A textbook example of a Pilots badge by this maker, constructed of nickel silver, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak wreath joined together at the base by a ribbon, overlaid by a swooping Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with two visible rivets securing the eagle in place, with a raised short barrel hinge, round wire vertical pinback, and a rightward opening
