Italy, Kingdom. An Order of St. Maurice and St. Lazarus, Knight visually-hidden the reverse with a functional(Ordine dei Santi Maurizio e Lazzaro). Instituted September 16th, 1572. In silver gilt, a white enameled Shamrock Cross with green enameled fans in the quadrants between the arms of the cross, worn on a rich green ribbon sewn closed at the top, measures 40. 6 mm (w) x 43. 8 mm (h), weighs 13. 6 grams, minor enamel wear and areas of discolouration around the tips of the Shamrock cross, gilt wear, very fine.
