Instituted in 1849 by Franz Joseph I. Type IV V (1911 1913, 1913 1918). In silver gilt, a cross with a black enamelled border and interior pebbled field, the obverse center features a gilded double headed eagle, the reverse is plain, measures 34. 7mm (w) x 37. 8mm (h), weighs 19. 0 grams (including ribbon), worn on original triangular ribbon with button closure, enamels intact, light wear, in extremely fine
