Turkey: Ottoman Empire. A Crimea War Medal 1854-1856, British Issue Archive one slight enamel flake to(Krm Harbi Madalyas). Instituted in 1855. In silver, reverse inscribed "CRIMEA" (British Issue), measuring 36. 8 mm in diameter, bruised, edge nicks, contact marks, replacement ribbon, very fine. Footnote: The Turkish Crimean War Medal is a campaign medal issued by Sultan Abdlmecid I of the Ottoman Empire to allied military personnel involved in the Crimean War of 1854 1956. It was only awarded to those who survived the war and not to next of kin.
