LAN188010 Land Rover Series 1 88" Hard Top Rover Fire Brigade Brand_Bachmann-Trains DepartmentalFirst introduced in 1948 the original 80 inch wheelbase Land Rover fulfilled a multitude of roles and the fire service was no exception. It saw service with many fire brigades both in Britain and overseas and was popular with private industrial fire brigades where its light weight and manoeuvrability made it an ideal first attack appliance. This version features an appliance that provided fire cover at its manufacturer's engineering works at Solihull.
