Victorian Memento Mori Hair Mourning Brooch gold clip earrings 5" from nape of neck1855 mourning brooch in gold and black that says "IN MEMORY OF" on the front frame around the window that shows 2 bits of hair, plus maybe some gold curls? Not sure what else is in there. The back is etched with "EGD & PGD December 23, 1855, Look to Christ Live to Christ Give Up All for Christ". One has to assume these people died together on the same day. A couple? A mother and baby? No way to know, but certainly a rare example of mourning jewelry
