70’s Halston Inspired Teal Blue Ultrasuede Jacket A-Line Skirt Suit crochet raffia late 90s early 2000’s byInvented in 1970, the genuine Ultrasuede brand fabric was first made phenomenally popular by Halston with his ready to wear collection in 1972. It was so expensive to produce that real suede cost half as much as Ultrasuede, but Ultrasuede could be tossed into a washing machine and tumble dried. This suit is from that era and is labeled with the genuine Ultrasuede brand. The boxy jacket of the suit has a notched collar and closes with three buttons.
