Paper Teapot P08512-P00043 Birds Nest PlantThis is a decorative teapot. It begins as a wheel thrown stoneware vessel. After being altered with the application of flat clay slabs to both sides, and the spout, lid, foot and handle lugs added, it is fired to bisque temperature to harden the clay. The curved sides of the pot are then overlaid with a collage of torn fragments of handmade Japanese papers.
